About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily opening, operation, and closing of Hula Bar.
- Lead, supervise, train, and motivate bar and service staff.
- Prepare staff rosters and ensure appropriate coverage during busy periods.
- Maintain fast, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Ensure cocktails and other beverages are prepared consistently and to standard.
- Monitor stock levels, complete stocktakes, place orders, and minimise wastage.
- Manage cash handling, till procedures, and end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Coordinate live music, DJs, pub crawls, events, and promotions.
- Work closely with the kitchen and hotel departments to ensure smooth service.
- Respond professionally to guest feedback, complaints, and incidents.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with licensing and safety requirements.
- Monitor costs, sales performance, and opportunities to improve revenue.
- Provide regular operational updates to hotel management.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who:
Has previous bar, hospitality, or supervisory experience.
Is confident leading, training, and motivating a team.
Provides excellent customer service and creates a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
Has strong knowledge of cocktails, beverages, and bar operations.
Can manage stock, control costs, and reduce wastage.
Is organised, reliable, and able to work well under pressure.
Can coordinate live music, DJs, events, and promotions.
Is available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Understands responsible alcohol service and maintains high health and safety standards.
Communicates well with hotel management, staff, suppliers, and guests.
